Does Science Disprove Christianity?
The "science vs. religion" framing is a 19th-century invention, not a timeless reality.
The vast majority of the scientific revolution was carried out by people who held explicitly Christian beliefs — Newton, Faraday, Mendel, Collins. They didn't see their faith as an obstacle. They saw the universe as a rational creation of a rational God, and therefore one that could be studied rationally.
Science answers "how" questions with extraordinary power. It cannot, in principle, answer "why" questions — questions of meaning, value, purpose, and origin. Not because it's failed to try, but because those questions are outside its method.
Christianity is not a competing scientific hypothesis. It's an answer to a different kind of question entirely.
